Quarterly News Letter – April 2007
· The next Quarterly meeting will be held at the Diamond Point Fire House on Saturday April 7 at 9:00 am, all members are invited and encouraged to attend - we would like to have a quorum for this meeting.
· The positions of Secretary, Treasurer and a Member at Large were filled in Jan. Election Results: Treas.,Liz Klippert; Sec., Dot Shepherd and Member at Large, John Kays.
· A DPAA Information Summary Letter was mailed out to all SAPOA members in February. If you are a member of SAPOA and did not receive a copy, contact Dot Shepherd at 360-683-5147.
· Airport Appreciation Day is scheduled for August 4th, 2007. Let’s work together to make it as successful as always.
· DPAA has purchased a yearly Corporate subscription to a weather briefing site for use by all DPAA members. The URL of the web site is: http://www.weathermeister.com. While certainly all of the information on this site is available on the web in many different places, the site pulls all of the information into an easily accessible and readable format. It is great for local flying also. Details will be available at the meeting. If you can't make the meeting send Gary Eklund an email with your EMAIL address, he will give you access to the web site and send you the login and password info. EMAIL: gary@eklund.com
Board Meetings, which all members are welcome to attend, are held the first Thursday of each month at 7pm at the Fire House. In the event Special Board Meetings are needed, or there are changes in regular meetings, we will post them on the SAPOA Notice Board and the DPAA Website at:
