SPECIA L SAPOA BOARD M EETING APRIL 15, 2007

Diamond Point Firehouse

 

 

 

The Board Meeting was called to order by President Gary Getch, at 2:09 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2007, at the Diamond Point Fire Station. Present: Gary Getch, Annemarie Montera, Marty Tipton, Jim Wilson, Ben Shrenzel, and Barry Olson. Keith DeStefano came in a couple of minutes late. There were two members of the Association in attendance as well.

 

The order of business is to review the contract bid proposal for paving Mussel Beach Road. On April 5 we got the proposal from Lakeside Industries to pave the road for a total price of $35,960 plus tax, bringing it up to about $39,000. Discussion about all that is involved in the contract; regrade, put in the crown up to the culvert. The

contractor was impressed with the road given the weather we have had. He went over the washout area, theres subterranean water that caused that. Were looking at June or July for the paving. Jim reported that Everett had someone who had a camera who could look and see where the damage was. Discussion about the damage at the bottom of the road; Barry Olson was down there this morning and brought up a piece of the road for show

and tell. The road needs to have its problems repaired and then repaved as soon as possible. The Mussell Beach Road Committee will look into that as soon as possible.

 

Barry Olson told the board of his dealings with the CDF used on MBR. The CDF was put in too dry. The pavement will be fine on top of that, but you can see that theres nothing down there; it should have been packed down around the curvature of the culvert.
