SPECIA L SAPOA BOARD M EETING MARCH 29, 2007

Diamond Point Firehouse

 

 

 

The Board Meeting was called to order by President Gary Getch, at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2007, at the Diamond Point Fire Station. Present:  Gary Getch, Annemarie Montera, Marty Tipton, and Barry Olson. Keith DeStefano came in a couple of minutes late. There were three members of the Association in attendance as well.

 

The order of business is to discuss the budget proposal and letter that will be going out with the newsletter to the membership.

 

Annemarie presented a proposed budget that Gary Getch, Marty Tipton and Annemarie (the Budget Committee) got together and prepared. The best way to present the budget is in reality. Say it like it is. Show that if we work with what we have, were not going to have a whole lot going over into next year. We need to make sure that we live within our means with what the Association votes as our budget. The Budget Committee prepared the proposed budget showing what it would be with the $25 per year dues. If we increase the dues to $50 per year dues, and its approved, we can do so much more so much better and a proposed budget showing that was prepared as well.

 

Many areas need to be budgeted high because that is what it is costing us. Insurance, Mussel Beach Road maintenance, detention pond, thats what its going to cost us.  The only places to cut were in communications, plat supervision, emergency fund.

 

We took the Beach Road Keys out of the budget altogether because they are self- sufficient. We get paid for the keys, no money is needed from SAPOA.
